Tehran- Deputy Director of Iran ministry of agriculture said: Russian officials requested export of pistachios, nuts and vegetables from Iran in their latest order list.

IFIF Public Relations- Deputy Director of Gardening Department of Iran ministry of Agriculture, Mohammad Ali Tahmasbi said: “after the trip of Russian Minister of Agriculture to Iran, we are building a good realations between the two countries and based on that Russian officials requested export of Pistachio, nuts, fresh and dried fruits and vegetables plus a variety of fish from Tehran.

“This year, about one million tones dates, 300 tones saffron, 3 million ton apples, 500 tons citrus, about 230 thousand tones pistachios produced in Iran. Now, based on the overproduction of these products inside of Iran and the high potential of production, we are able to import a great amount of agricultural products to Russia. “He added.

He emphasized: “commercial is an industry itself and now we have to build the structures in some fields like transportation. On the other hand, specialized commercial activities should be done by unions and cooperatives with a great support to get the needed result.”/S
